Marney-Rose Edge

Marney-Rose Edge is a New Zealand born Vancouver based artist. She draws inspiration from bird nests for their complexity, strength and fragility. Her gestural marks move with instinct and rhythm while the surrounding stillness invites contemplation. This tension between motion and calm, density and openness is central to her practice and echoes the dualities found in nature itself. Marney-Rose works and teaches out of her studio.
