Doris MacDougall

I am a local. I was born in Vancouver and studied Fine Art and Clay and Fibre at Capilano College, graduating in 1981. Always doing my art along with raising a son and running a business with my husband. I have been an artist at 1000 Parker since 1995, participating in the Eastside Culture Crawl, First Saturday Open Studios as well as being a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and the North Shore Art Rental.

Artist Statement

Drawing is my thing, whether it be ink or pencil on paper, drawing into wet paint on canvas or sewing into fabric with a machine. I like to mix it up. Repeat patterns and textures are in the mix with my love of nature.
